LIRAsLocked-in pension funds grow and collect interest until you retire.
A Locked-In Retirement Account (LIRA) is an RRSP that contains funds transferred from registered pension plans that are subject to regulation by government pension legislation. Withdrawals from a locked-in RRSP/LIRA/RLSP are usually not permitted. There may also be a minimum age restriction to convert the funds to a retirement income option, and there may be life annuity restrictions.
