Higher Education Lines of Credit
When you decide to pursue your education, we can help.
A Casera Higher Education Line of Credit can assist members whose financial resources limit their ability to further their education. A line of credit will cover your expenses relating to continuing education, such as tuition, books or equipment.
Payments are interest-only while you are enrolled in school and for six months after you are no longer a student. Interest is calculated on the daily closing balance at prime rate +1% and charged to your account at the end of every month.
Low cost, variable prime rate +1%
Repayment is interest-only while in school.
Great for budgeting
Credit limit pre-determined. Separate education chequing account. ATM access not available.

Casera Bursary Program
Supporting local students since 1972.
Bursaries of $750 each are awarded annually to graduating students from neighbourhood high schools. To qualify, students will enter either a post-secondary educational, professional, trade or vocational institution, or enroll in an apprenticeship program. Bursaries are based on academic achievement, community and school activities and programs, and financial needs.

High School Credit Unions
Learn about money and have fun.
If you are a student at Dakota Collegiate, you will want to join your school’s credit union. Lancer Credit Union is offered as a credit course and operates as a financial co-operative run by students. Over the school year, you will save money in a credit union account, learn about consumer issues, and become proficient at money management. Casera supports the student-run credit union through mentoring and ongoing in-class presentations.
